If anybody ever asks you what people mean when they talk about “old gold”, just tell them it’s the color of the gilding in Rapp and Rapp’s marvelous Chicago Theater, built in the 1920s.
Pretty sure that’s Apollo and the chariot of the Sun above the proscenium.
